Carson Wen, who obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at Columbia University of New York, is the Founder and Chairman of Bank of Asia (BVI) Limited, BOA Financial Group Limited and Sancus Group of companies. Bank of Asia is the only licensed bank in the British Virgin Islands providing banking services to its global clients on digital channels. Also, as a CEO and founder of Financial Holdings (BVI) Limited (“FHL”) which was established by Sancus, Carson has filed the Notice of Appeal with the Privy Council in UK on the ongoing employment dispute with Chad Holm, the former Deputy Chief Executive of FHL.
In June 2016, after only nine months in the role of Deputy Chief Executive of FHL and Chief Executive of Bank of Asia, Chad Hole’s employment was terminated as a result of several serious breaches of his Executive Service Agreement with FHL. Mr. Holm was found engaging in activities that were similar to or competed with activities carried out by his employer, including planning the setting up of a competing bank. In addition, in October 2016, FHL filed proceedings against Chad Holm and two co-defendants for breach of contract, breach of trust and breach of fiduciary duties in Hong Kong High Court.
Mr. Wen emphasised that Bank of Asia would continue to pursue all legal options to set the record straight. Although the legal proceedings are continuing, it is of vital importance to state that Chad Holm’s claim of unpaid wages was false and without concrete evidence.
